D3 Forum Meeting information for Imber Village On Salisbury Plain Easter Sunday 2009

First off a big thank you to everyone who is taking time out to meet up at Imber, I hope you all enjoy your day.

So here we go with the meeting places.

There will be 2 meeting places for everyone who wants to meet and drive to Imber together.

For those coming up from the South the meeting place will be at the Services on the A303 at Amesbury.

MacLeod 313 will hopefully be able to meet up with everyone coming from the south at this location. The idea would be to leave this location at 9.15am to get to the entrance to the Imber Ranges near Gore Cross at 9.45am (it is about a 25 - 30 min drive)

For Gore Cross location please see the last map

If you send MacLeod a message via the forum he might be happy to send you his contact number so you can call him if you are lost or having any problems.

For a map of the Amesbury meeting point please see below.

For those coming from the north the plan is to meet at the truck Stop at Stratton in Swindon just off the A419
The truck stop is accessed via the entrance to the Sainsburys store. From the A419 turn off for Oxford on the A420. When you reach the first small roundabout on the Oxford road turn right into the Sainsburys supermarket. You will then come up to a smaller roundabout, go straight over this (not right into the car park) and follow the road around the back of the supermarket into the truck stop

Both myself and character will be at this location and we would be leaving at 8.45am prompt to get to the entrance to the Imber Ranges near Gore Cross at 9.45am (it is about a 1 hour drive)

For Gore Cross location please see the last map

My contact number has been provided in your forum Private Message and my mobile will be on all day so you can call me if you are lost or having any problems.

For maps of the Swindon meeting point please see below.

My aim is then to get everyone who is interested to meet at the entrance to Imber ranges at Gore cross, the entrance to the range is shown on the map below.

I would like to try and have everyone there for about 9.45am if possible for the short drive across to the village. We can stop part way along the range road to take some pictures of the line up snaking it's way across the Plain.

Please note that when we stop you must stay on the stone and tarmac road and not go on the grass or off the road in case there is unexploded ordinance.

The entrance to the range at Gore Cross is very large with plenty of places to pull up.

Well that's about it, if you have any questions or problems or if you need my number then please do e-mail me at info@highlandphotographic.co.uk

Hope to see everyone there have a good and safe drive.
